License hearings
Keep the license question from deciding itself
After a DUI arrest, your license usually has a case of its own, with a hearing you have to ask for. The window to ask is short, and it opens the day of the arrest.
The notice the officer handed you explains the deadline, but it's easy to miss among everything else. If no one asks for a hearing in time, the suspension can start on its own.
We ask for the hearing, go to it with you, and press on what the officer did and wrote down. If a suspension still follows, we help you apply for a limited license to get to work, school or treatment where one is available, and work out what you'll need to get your full license back.

Getting your full license back

Step by step
How a license hearing goes
Ask in time
We file the request before the deadline on your notice, and keep a copy of the proof that it was sent.
Get the records
The officer's report and the test paperwork come before the hearing, so we know what will be argued.
The hearing itself
Usually short and less formal than court. We question the officer where the rules allow it.
A limited license
If you're suspended anyway, we help you apply to drive to work, school or treatment where your state allows it.
An interlock, if ordered
We explain who installs it, what it costs and how long it stays.
Back to a full license
We list what you'll need, in order, so the day your suspension ends you can drive again.
License questions
Questions about driving while the case is open
Is the license hearing the same as my court case?
No. It's usually separate, with its own deadline and its own decision. Winning one doesn't always settle the other.
Can I drive to work while I'm suspended?
Sometimes, with a limited or occupational license, depending on your state, your record and the kind of suspension. We'll tell you whether you qualify.
I missed the deadline. Is it too late?
Call anyway. There may still be something we can file, and the court case has its own chances to protect your license.
