How it works
Each step, and what we need from you
Most cases follow these steps. At each one, we'll tell you what comes next.
- 01
Step 1: You call, and a lawyer answers your questions
A free consult, by phone or in the office. Bring the citation and any notice about your license.
- 02
Step 2: We check the license deadline
If your license is at risk, we ask for the hearing before the window closes.
- 03
Step 3: You get your fee in writing
One written quote for the whole case, with what's included and what isn't, before you sign.
- 04
Step 4: We get the evidence
Squad and body camera video, test records, the officer's report and dispatch logs.
- 05
Step 5: We go through it with you
A meeting to show you what we found, and what we think it means for your options.
- 06
Step 6: Motions, a deal or a trial
We file what's worth filing, negotiate where it helps, and try the case if that's the better road.
- 07
Step 7: Back to driving
A written list of what you'll need to get your full license back, in order.
Fees
What our fee pays for, and what it doesn't
How is the fee set?
We quote one fee for the case at the first meeting, based on the charge and where it's heard, and put it in writing before you sign anything.
What isn't included?
Court costs, fines, an expert witness, transcripts, and the cost of an ignition interlock or a driver safety program, if one is ordered.
Can I pay over time?
Usually, yes. We'll set a schedule with you at the first meeting.
